Thank you for your interest in a group visit. We will do our best to accommodate your request, and your date and time will be solidified only once you receive a confirmation email from one of our admissions staff. (Please allow 48 hours response time.)
In the unlikely event that Sandburg is closed due to inclement weather, visits will be canceled/rescheduled. Closings are announced on local TV stations. Please allow three weeks lead time for group requests of 40 or more. Groups of 90 or more are considered on a request-by-request basis.
The Welcome Center offers the following types of group visits:
Enrollment readiness visit | ~180 minutes
This option is for seniors only. It includes:
- A 30-minute presentation by an admissions recruiter
- 20 minutes to complete admissions applications for Sandburg
- 60 minutes to take the Accuplacer placement test
- A60-minute walking tour of campus to visit specific program areas

Admissions presentation and campus tour | ~90 minutes
This option is for students in grades 10-12. It includes:
- A 30-minute presentation by an admissions recruiter on steps to enroll, financial aid, dual-credit overview, important dates and college readiness.
- 60-minute informational walking tour led by a student ambassador.

Middle school group visit | ~90 minutes
This option is for students in grades 6-9. It includes:
- A 25-minute presentation by an admissions recruiter, including general college information
- A 60-minute walking tour of campus
- A visit to selected program areas for demonstrations (30 to 45 minutes).
